How does Testosterone gel work?

Testosterone gel will provide continuous delivery of testosterone into your bloodstream for 24 hours. The testosterone is rapidly absorbed into a layer of skin called the stratum corneum that acts as a reservoir. From here, the testosterone gradually diffuses into the bloodstream at a relatively constant rate over 24 hours.

In the first hour after applying Testosterone gel, your testosterone level will begin to increase. By the second day of treatment, your testosterone level will have reached a steady state with only small variation. From this time onwards, the daily variation in testosterone level will be of a similar magnitude to the normal daily variation in healthy men.

Don’t forget that regular monitoring is vital for the success of your treatment with Testosterone gel. Your doctor may want to adjust the daily dosage depending on how you respond to treatment.
